Miton Group Appoints Director Of Operations And Risk Management

Miton Group, the UK-based fund manager, has appointed Piers Harrison as director of operations and risk management, effective from 29 July. Harrison joins from Neptune Investment Management, where he is currently deputy finance director and head of operational risk. He will also join the boards of Milton Asset Management and Milton Capital Partners. Prior to joining Neptune in 2010 he held similar roles at Matterley Services and Charles Stanley & Co. In March, Miton Group launched the UK Value Opportunities Fund, which aims to seek out opportunities in the UK equity market, investing only in companies which meet the criteria of the fund’s internal model. Assets under management at Miton Group rose 7.2 per cent year-on year to reach £1.79 billion ($2.69 billion) at the end of December 2012.
